Andrea D'Agostino

Andrea D'Agostino was born in 1977 into a Sicilian family. He grew up in various parts of Italy, where his father, a building labourer, was sent to work. In 2001, his first novel, Mi mangiassero i grilli (I wish the Cricktes Would Eat Me), was shortlisted for the Premio Calvino. Fernandel published it in 2005. He wrote some short stories which appeared in independent literary magazines.
